What a strange vintage we are. Constantly needing to photograph each thing, each moment. What other species demands to self archive everything? The same information, experiences, places visually captured over and over again. What do we expect to learn from it; from taking a picture of it all?

Sunday Morning Ride
Fresh morning air.
On the divide between jungle & palm oil plantation. Gibbons and Macaques above, jumping between the two.
Just an hours ride and border crossing away from my front door.

Permanence. 1897. Years. Yes, these pictures are a poor pixilated blurry copy. One Thousand Eight Hundred Ninety Seven years from now. Will this blog, its pictures, or my indentation make all but the smallest whimper?
Likely not. So what is the point? Good question.
Permanence. 3000. Years. Yes this picture was only taken 977 years ago. Only half the time this physical stood before the digital. What will last longer, pixels or concrete?
Just a reflection of a reflection
"There is no such thing as a new idea. It is impossible. We simply take a lot of old ideas and put them into a sort of mental kaleidoscope." -Mark Twain
