What a strange vintage we are. Constantly needing to photograph each thing, each moment. What other species demands to self archive everything? The same information, experiences, places visually captured over and over again. What do we expect to learn from it; from taking a picture of it all?

OBJECT
Photography, the act of copying a physical object into an analog or digital format. Which in no way shape or form represents the object in its current state or form. Rather it represents the angle, lighting, and state of the object at the time the photo was taken.

Bukit Timah Caves
Cave 1
Cave 2
These man-made caves were constructed by the Japanese during World War II and likely used for storage.
Interestingly Cave 1 appears to cut all the way to the other side of the hill. When Cave 1 was originally constructed, this was likely not the case. Rather in the years after the war when Hindhede Quarry was still an active granite quarry, it is likely that blasting accidently cut into this part of the cave. I suspect the view is rather incredible if it could be accessed.
