What a strange vintage we are. Constantly needing to photograph each thing, each moment. What other species demands to self archive everything? The same information, experiences, places visually captured over and over again. What do we expect to learn from it; from taking a picture of it all? No Coining - All Rights Reserved

Fruit Bat Soup

While visiting Palau in 2015, I had the opportunity to have fruit bat soup (Megabats, Family: Pteropodidae, Order: Chiroptera). The washed and boiled bat was hairy and did not have a lot of meat, but the coconut and ginger vegetable soup base was quite nice. Paired with a few Red Rooster Beers, my friend and I were able to eat all that was edible on the bat.
